I use an alaskan mill on a husky 359 for slabbing timber, is it possible to get a thinner bar and chain for this saw? I want to speed up the cut and waste less wood. Thanks.

Thinner than what ?

Assuming you are currently using 3/8", your likely options are .325 and lo-pro. There's also a narrow .325 and 1/4, but I don't think anyone is using those for milling.

Either of those two should be do-able, but ..... components are hard to find.

Lo-pro requires special sprockets at both ends. They are not readily available.

.325 bars and sprockets are readily available, but not .325 milling chain (outside of Canada), so you'd prolly have to grind your own milling chain.
