Tillotson HL Carb

I've got a Homelite 3100G with a Tillotson 273A carb.It has a governor valve in it.The manual says"Original governor assembly is tuned for each engine and cannot be renewed.A disc may be installed in place of the governor assembly."Anyone have any experience with the governor valve?How to disable it?

Simply unscrew the governor out of the carb body, cut a soft copper disc the size of the hole, insert it and put the governor back in, screw it down tight and you have disabled it. The saw will then set up in the normal way by adjusting the high speed needle with the throttle held wide open.
