I recently tried to contact Tim. We had corresponded about a year ago regarding an improvement I made to his invention. A site I had for him is no longer online. I did a search and came up with an obituary on a 29 year old Tim Epperson who was killed in a trench cave-in in Perry, MO. Was this the same fellow? I sure hope not. He was "old dude" on here, and I haven't seen his posts for a while.

Did you ever get into contact with Tim? I tried his website and it's not there anymore. My sidekick broke the other day and I'm needing a new one. If anyone out there knows how to get ahold of him PM me.

I got in touch with Tim and he has a sidekick on the way. If anyone was looking for him his email is [email protected]. He is a great guy to do business with and the sidekick is far superior to anything like it. Before I bought one a few years ago I wondered how I got along with out it.

You can clip the sidekick to your saddle and bring it up the tree with you when you're setting your ropes. Usually, if I need a pole saw, I'll pull it up later once the ropes are set.

Basically, it's pretty easy to just always have the sidekick with you, whereas you may not always have a pole saw on hand.

Sherrill sells the retreever, which broke the first day I bought it. The sidekick is a much better tool.

I agree, the Sidekick is a much better tool. WesSpur sells them $49 page 15 2008 catalog, but you might get a better deal streight from Tim. Glad to know he is OK, I might need another one pretty soon. I finally abused two of them into submission over the last couple of years, I'm working on my last one. I'm addicted enough to them that until now I have kept a spare for backup.
