Love my TW-5, love the log lift but am searching for a simple/cheap/functional means to secure the log lift in the up position for storage/transport etc…..It settles to the down position after its been off for awhile….Anyone solved this? a hole with a pin? a prop of some sort? anyone????

i just have a 2 inch ratchet strap I use, I go from end of log lift to the opposite side of the beam and just hook it on the top flange of the beam... just make sure the lift is all the way up or it can bounce up and the strap can come unhooked...I also cut the strap just long enough so I don't have all that extra strap to deal with

A piece of angle iron tywrapped to the piston. When I bought mine it had this to keep it up.

A TW-5 is a kickass piece of equipment for sure , but with that being said I'd be pissed if I needed to use rope to keep the lift from sagging on a splitter that cost $8,500! I know, it's something you need to do once or twice a season but a high dollar rig like a TW-5 should have a holding valve built into the circuit.
