WOW I am out of shape. Finished the medium sized logs today. They were the max my small mill could handle, 17-18 inches wide, and the wood was much better quality. The cut speed slowed down to abou twice what it was even with a new chain. All I have left now are the big ones. I may have to free hand some cuts just to get them busted up to mill size. I did manage to get my best helper today.

Nice job!

Here's your pics for you boss!

Looking real good.

I wish I could get out and mill but I don't much feel like it with 6 inch's of fresh snow on the ground:laugh:

Nice work on those slabs. I like your helper, I have two about the same size, my boy was in the shop with me tonight working on the current project. Very nice logs.

Those are great looking cedars. Big, solid ones too. Must smell great cutting them. The helper is very happy to be "helpin'" it seems....too funny.
That's also one BIG carport. Could have a nice sized family reunion under it and your grounds look like a big zoo or such. You have horses or lamas or emus or something? Wow, nice property.

Thanks

I am having a blast milling this stuff. All of the trees have somewhat of a sentimental value to me. They all came off of my family's homestead that we have had since the mid 1800s. I am hoping to build a hope chest and maby a jewelry box for both of my girls.

My little helper is having fun, I'm blessed she loves hanging out with me! Every time I needed a tool she had to figure out where she left it, she's worse than most little boys I know. She was so filthy at the end of the day I had to blow her off with the air hose.

Marine5068, thanks for the complements. The carport is great for large get-to-gethers. We don't have any stock at the house, just some BIG dogs.

Looks like you're helper is having as much fun as riding a pony! My little guys understand to NEVER touch the air hose. Ever! I have to dust'em off now and then too. I put the poison sticker on the free air gun.
