You know, sometimes a man has to think for himself and make his own decisions. Take me for example. I don't need ANYBODY around THIS place to think for me.

your having your own company so you can think for your self and work for your self. at the end of the day you are ultimately responsible for what you do whether it be work, paying bills or buying equipment. its a gamble buying the right stuff. think about what type of work you will be doing and think about what you want to do. there is no game plan to follow, but whatever your choices, you make them work so you dont have to many shoulda couldas best of luck and kiss your free time goodbye

If you need a good bucket truck, I've got a 99 ford f800 w/60' altec material handler for sale in South Dakota. Great truck. Recently inspected and certified. call me at 605-228-9350 if you want more info. scott

As for a chipper, I run a vermeer 1800 and love it. 18" capacity and chews, chews, chews that big stuff right up with little effort. My vermeer would be better though if the 115hp engine was more like 175hp. The autofeed stops the infeed if the motor rps get too low and allows the rpms to build back up so the 115 works fine but it takes longer to feed big hard stuff. If you look, there are some 1800s with bigger engines in them and I know that several guys on this forum run the 2000 model with 200hp engines and love them. I like vermeer better than bandit but you'll find many on this forum that will say the opposite. I'd suggest trying to demo several different makes and models.

Call me about my bucket truck and we can discuss equipment in general...

Exactly. I couldn't imagine coming to an internet forum and asking what sort of equipment I should spend my money on. These are interesting times we live in indeed.

Not that I wouldn't throw a question out there and see what some of you that I have become acquainted with think.. but just "what kind of bucket truck and chipper should I buy"! Lol, thats a good one.
