I got this '65 Austin Healy "sprigit" in exchange for work the other day. I did'nt want it but the client was in a bad way and could not afford to have this removal done that he just had to do.
Anyone want to buy it? $2500.00 or so. I will NOT deliver.

or cars.com

The question I would ask myself before the trade is... Would I be willing to pay x dollars for this car.... If not then have the guy sell it and pay you... Why should you have to take the time and energy to sell it and the risk that you might not get full value of the tree work?

If you have clear title to car, why not donate to charity or local school auto tech shop and take tax deduction at end of year. Charitible deduction will be probably be more than you sell car for anyway and no headaches.:)

Dont want to keep the car cause I cant haul anything in it :)
It is on E-bay right now.
If I donate it for say $3000.00 that works out to be a $450.00 tax right off- not alot at all.
It is a good client just real tight on money this month so wanted to show good will

Tax deduction is full blue book value of car, not percentage of total saleable price. Talk to tax person, have donated lots of old tools and furniture, clothes, ect. and taken great deductions on taxes.

i would have taken the car for payment no worries, strip it and sell parts on e-bay you will triple your money

Looks like it was restored. Sweet, for me it would make an excellent "Urban Arborist Assault Vehicle". To bad it's to far away. I'd take it.

Might just better link-up with the Austin Healey folks on a website somewhere.

Years ago had someone give me a '56 AH 3000 'cause they couldn't afford the break job on it. Drove it for a few weeks and sold it finding out later it was worth thousands more than I got for it. The Sprite is almost like an MG midget, but when the AH owner's association have a rally thru town here I know they have some value.
