I am thinking about trying to buy or create a trailer that can carry my Bobcat S175 (6,200 lbs) and my Carlton 24oo self propelled stump grinder (1,500 Lbs) at the same time . I want to side-load the stump grinder in front, near the tongue with a homemade ramp and skid steer in the rear. Thoughts / Considerations? Thx!

I've got a 20ft low pro car hauler. i load my sc252 and mini skid on... Works great

I tried different ways over the years with a Gehl 6625 or 5635 and a couple of grinders - rayco super jr or a carlton 4400-4 and a boxer tl224 or kanga. 16' and you can load the rayco and mini side by side and follow up with the big loader with grapple loaded at a little bit of angle real tight, you would never get it with fold up ramps. Then I had a 20' low deck 14k but by then I didn't have the rayco and the Carlton was too long 11' to ride sideways so still grinder beside mini then loader but way over weight so I got a 20+5 dovetail 20k dual tandem and everything fit and was just under weight but that trailer is heavy. Everything is on 1 trailer. I went back to having someone else grind stumps for me this past year so no more grinder and I'm happy with that. Less profit on each stump but no cleanup and maintenance of teeth and bearings and grease and belts and we'll you know

I haul my Carlton 4100d tow behind and my s-185 on a 24 foot pj bobcat trailer. It's a lot of weight but it works. I usually put my ditch witch mini skid on there now with the 4100. It actually is balanced fairly decent with the full sized skid since i have a pin on hitch on my grapple so the rear of the skid is far back to offset some of the tounge weight. But I do pull it with a one ton dually.

I just picked up an 18 ft, 14k pj equipment trailer. Perfect for a mini, grinder and a couple of attachments. Any good equipment trailer 22ft or bigger should be all you need. They're reasonably priced
