Can anyone give me the species value class of a 21" Norway maple and a 21" red maple in NC? I'm guessing 50%. I'm doing a quick appraisal for a relative, and don't want/need to spend the $ on the Guide for Plant Appraisal. Thanks

Thanks for the table brnchbrkr. I've found a few online already, but none specific to this area.

Guy - I bought both the appraisal guide and the species value list from the southern chapter this morning. For some reason, it didn't dawn on me to check ISA - I looked at the $200 amazon price and said 'no thanks'. The $75 ISA member price is much nicer!

So, any chance you can give me a preview of what I'm going to read? What say you about the species value of Acer rubrum and platanoides? 80% and 50%, respectively?

rubrum 80-95, and norway was not in.

MI has rubrum 60-80 and norway 50-70

OH is 50-90 and 20-60

lookin for my midatlantic--that chapter's rating may fit us better than isasc

Thanks Guy. Turns out that after visiting the trees, they are both rubrum, so no need for the platanoides value. I think I'll go with 80 - it seems to be the general consensus.
