A tree boom is a boom that fits, as a rule, to a skid steer. It is used by nurseries to set young trees. It mounts to the front of the machine through the normal hook up. It's just a boom with ring on the tip to hook to whatever.

I do appreciate all the advice here but I had all that figured out.

Thanks you. Now if I can find an inexpensive one. I'm just going to use it to put large rounds on my splitter. The bucket on my front end loader comes off via the skid steer hook up.
