Big wall tent?
Tree boat?
Got one, how you like it.?
Looking at a new tribe tree boat for sleep over night. Cost 300 $ a big wall tent cost about 600$.
Which would you buy

The tree boat is way cheaper, too. It's like 150. I guess you plan on getting a few accessories.

Yes a rain tarp. Got to have it big enuff for 2 if ya know what I mean.!!!!!!!

The only time I have ever slept in a hammock is when I was in the Panamanian Jungles. It wasnt because I wanted to be cool and sleep in a tree, its just that every thing animial, vegetable, or mineral will seriously ruin your weekend. I can deal with diving with sharks, jumping out of planes, vampire bats, and the black palm. but I just HATE snakes. ACK

my only long term experience sleeping in a hamock was in Panama also.

My back still isnt straight.

I've got several tree camping shelters.

A regular TB, one that has a tubing support on the edges so that I can hang it from one top support. A two person portaledge with top, A single portaledge with top or mosquito bag. A tube tent type hammock too

The TB is the most compact and cheapest one besides a net hammock. I don't care a lot for the TB because it isn't flat.

If anyone is interested in buying the two person Pika with fly, drop me a line off the forum. It is so close to being brand new you can still smell the fabric.

In a way:D

But if that car is a mint 65 Mustang that you just did a carrage finnish restoration, i'ts somehting I could see:D :D

I think the point you miss is that trees are a real pashion for us, not just the work, but being in adn around them.

I think you have it to, sinc you are here, you just need to nurture it.

tree accomodations

OK, I'm real interested! Any body have any pics of their tree camping to share?
Thanks,
Jack

LOL it wasnt so much my back that that bothered me, it was the fact that I put a mosquito net over me, but those big yellow blood suckers could stick you through your BDU pants and you would have about a dozen mosquito bites on your fourth point of contact come dawn.:Monkey:

Turkey has these huge centipedes with stingers. The are so tough that when trying to pry them off a sleeping bag with some linemans plyers, the bag ripped.

JEST experiance, eat whatever you can dig up. Anyone for grub on a stick??

Scorpions glow in the dark if you have the infared beam on your night vision goggles turned on. :Monkey:
