I heard thereis going to be a tree care convention in the Baltimore area sometime this november. I know nothing more about it. does anyone else have any info?

Tom,
Will this EHAP training come with any type of certification? And is there a cost for it or is there any more information you have on that?

There will be an extra cost for the EHAP class. Check the TCIA website or give them a call to find out more.

In order to complete the EHAP Certification you would need to complete:

The EHAP classroom session or watch the two videos
Perform an aerial rescue
Possess current CPR/FA
Complete the test book and pass all of the chapters

The book gives a good comprehensive look at working around wires. It helped me a lot as I studied for the isa utility cert. Tom will agree that it does NOT give you all you need to know to do clearance work; the rest has to be learned handson (the tree not the wires :) )in the field.

Since commercial arborists have to work around service lines all the time, it is a very useful course. as certs go, it is pretty cheap and to the point, a good one to have for the field climber.

The talks this year have some excellent A-listers like Smiley and Coder, well worth the Gold Pass to get into all the talks. Last year had a Z-lister :censored: who did the best he could with what he had.:pumpkin2:
