I will be offering a tree climbing and rigging class for 1 semester hour college credit on campus at MSU-Bottinea, in Bottineau, ND on May 27, 28, and 29. Approximate cost is $200, all equipment is provided for the class. Housing is available in dormitories for $12 per night, meals on our own.

This is a part of our online certificate of completion program in Basic Grounds Worker Skills. The class is open to recreational as well as aspiring production climbers. We start with the basics and go through some of the newer techniques involving ascenders and mechanical advantage assisted methods of entering the tree.

For more information, send me an email at [email protected] or call at 701-228-5434.

Spring in the Turtle Mountains will be in full bloom, so come enjoy the area, learn an interesting skill, camp at Lake Metigoshe if you like. Perhaps an evening picnic and bull session will break out.

See you, Bob Underwood, Associate Professor of Urban Forestry
