Guys--
I have never attended a climbing competition and am wondering if it is possible (or if ever done) to set up as a 'vender' at a given competition. I'm too old to compete (55) but would like to expose aggressive young climbers to my product-(the 'sidekick' rope retrieval device);perhaps with a low and slow demonstration of same. Would take shipment orders there or direct potential buyers to Wesspur tree equipment co. as they carry a ready inventory.
Any feedback as per the competition/sales protocol would be appreciated

hey young dude,

contact the charlotte arborists association, they do the nc comp. southern chapter is in little rock next year, a bit of a hike for you.

They do not have an age limit; at 55 you can still compete! I'm 56, but i don't enter cuz I'd hate to bruise all those young egos by climbing rings around them.:jester:

Ya, Guy still gets around a tree pretty good..... I'll vouch for that!!! He ran circles around me last week:dizzy:

I call the product the sidekick. It can be viewed at arborexotica.com. Can be ordered direct or through Wesspur tree equipment co.
Stay safe-
Tim

Tim,

Id think for a small donation the chapter would let you set up. I have set up at the MW chapter for 4 yrs....kinda set a trend. first me, then 2of us, last year I didnt but there were 3 others.

Call the chapter event chair. Theyd be stupid to not let you.
