That's what the leaves look like, only darker/brighter, def. not a maple, sorry for the bad pic.

NOt a purple beech

Thats either a thundercloud plum or some type of ornamental cherry.
Both are Prunus

I'll agree with genus Prunus I've not seen Fagus purpurea with that globus form

I agree looks like a purple leaf plum to me, Prunus cerasifera.

The canopy is shaped like a purple leaf plum. These ornamentals are a dime-a-dozen around my area.

It's a plum tree , ornamental landscape tree 25' medium grower ..

looks to be a plumb i only say that because of the shape as a whole and size of the trunk

And Fagus have much heavier veination

You can see the typical Prunus lenticils on the twig too
