I think the dead tree and the one to the right in the pic are the same tree. Any idea what kind?

You have to be kidding, right Natewood?

Any rate.....

Does it have greenish twigs?

Kinda darker green leaves?

If so, English Oak (Quercus robur.....however the branch habit of the trees in the picture is a little different.

Which leads me to the cultivar Quercus robur 'Fastigiata' which tends to only have a spread of around 10 to 15 feet which would match the form those in the picture have thus far....hope this helps......

I'd agree with this as well, for some reason the name of this tree has now been changed from "Fastigiata" to "Koster" do ask me why?????
