Tree Service on Dirty Jobs?

I was just watching Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe on Discovery and he is working with a tree service somewhere warm....i.e. Palm Tree removals. Anyone know which tree service this is? Everyone had red shirts on.

Wow, I'm really surprised. There was a thread a while back about the possibility of them doing a bit about tree work, but I didn't think they would do it. I wanna see that episode!

I think I remember them saying it was Fla. the guy that will do the worst jobs episode after episode pointed up at the climber and said (I wouldn't do that).

I had to chuckle, they made it a point to say how dangerous the job was and that they followed EVERY safety rule. Yet they seemed to be missing ear protection when running chainsaws, and when the trunk was blocked down to 12 or 15 feet or so Mike Rowe strapped on the hooks to make a few cuts. When a large hunk was notched and dropped it missed a cameraman by literally a few inches!

I just watched it!

I really like the show dirty jobs but kind of wish they would done something more technical for the tree work but it was still very good . that camera man was very close .Some the companys Mike Rowe works with are not that safe but it probably shows what alot of job site are really like .

i saw the show at like 2 hours ago its like gupanno tree trimming services out of california cuttin down a bird of paridise tree hes like freakin stunned at the root system and gets excited about a stump grinder

I didn't see eye protection for a while either!

I submitted my company to Dirty Jobs. didn't hear back but I am a huge fan and watch every show.
I was hoping to get mike to come down and chip some cedar with us or run a brush mower. Really dirty, dusty job in summer time or when we are in drought conditions. I get filthy. Ruined my uniform shirts so I switched to plain t-shirts.
Out of curiosity, how many of you wear clean looking shirts? I can't afford to keep up with clean shirts so I just dress nice on bids!

We are allowed to wear any pants and shoes as long as they are boots/hikers. Our T-shirts, long sleeve T's, and big winter jackets are reflective orange, with reflective co. lettering, these are also the "dri-fit Under Armour" style shirts. The hooded sweatshirts, Zip up sweatshirts, and vests are navy blue also with the High vis/reflective lettering.

Yes they get dirty, but you rplce them as often as needed. Dirty MATCHING shirts/jackets look better than un matched clean shirts/jackets.

I'm kind of infamous for being the guy in shorts and t's. I explain it quite a bit to my customers who understand. May not look pro but I"m comfortable, flexible, etc., and since I am in and out of a machine and operate controls on the loader and not a climber or do much saw work, I get away with it. Have for 10 years and my customers get a chuckle out of my hawiian shirts.
