Hi,
I'm currently working and training to be a climber for a tree surgery company based in the UK.
I'm hoping that, once I've got my tickets, and a decent amount of experience under my belt, to travel abroad to Australia on a working holiday visa.
I was just wondering if anyone out there has already done this, or indeed something similar, & could give me some advice on;
-finding a company to work for,
-finding accommodation,
-roughly how long planning takes,
-upfront costs & transporting gear,
-average wages
& anything else that is worth noting.

I don't plan to go for at least a couple of years but I'd like to get a rough idea of how much planning it's going to involve.

Thanks very much.

It's a big place, most UK guys seem to head for Brisbane I don't know why really except there is work there. I prefer Sydney but Melbourne has some good work and so does Perth.

Have a look at The Arbor Age magazine, new format and has some classified ads with some jobs. http://trademags.com.au/aa/ Keep an eye on that, and there's a few aussies here might help.

There's a facebook page, might be better for you. https://www.facebook.com/arborage/timeline
