I am starting a tree worker disaster relief fund from a portion of the profits from my non profit business.
I feel a disaster relief fund is a long overdue need in our tree care community. What do you think? I am open to suggestions, ideas and comments.
Thank you

Sure, I'll take some. My business has been non profit for the last two years. I could use all the help I can get. Anybody want to buy a bucket truck and chipper?

You might give International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 125 a call up there in Gresham. They have a program in place for their injured lineman/tree trimmers who are injured on the job. They sell window stickers and toy bucket trucks to help raise money for the fund. That sounds like an ambitious project, good luck.

I think an organization run by its members would want some type of regular fund for disaster relief. Especially in such an hazardous occupation as ours.
