Trouble cold starting saw with filter on

I'm having trouble starting an 066. When cold starting, I have trouble getting it to "pop" and start. When I take the filter off it pops with the choke, then I let off the choke and it starts normal.y. I then put the filter back on and when it is warm it starts normally. I'm at about 2,400 ft elevation.

Any recommendations on carburator adjustments?

Stan- at 2400 feet one full turn out on each of your adjustments should be right in the ballpark- the low may need richened 1/4 turn extra is all. Sounds like you're due for a new metering diaphragm.
