:chainsaw: Hi, im looking to get some log prices in albany ny,, i cant find any company online that delivers truck loads of logs.. any info wld be great...Todd

NO thats deff a little high, i spoke to a company today and they can deliver a truck of logs that wld be cut to 11-12 cords, they do drop off for 700.00

What company is that? 12 cords for $700.00 delivered is a good deal, but not likely without a long waiting list or for to long.

I don't know exactly how many cords but a "triax" of pole length logs is 650-750 down here in PA as of last week, I've heard that's 6-8 cords..if you can find anyone to deliver....anyone know anyone in north east PA for pole length delivery? :)

First off for that price, you'd better ask what kind of hardwood it is. Last one of them "bargain" loads I looked at dropped at a friends house was white birch, silver maple, and half rotten cherry.
The goin rate here 60 miles NW of you is $100-$120 for a log length cord of good hardwood, if you can get it! I would'nt bargain shop to long...It's gettin cold!

I have a question, how do I find someone in my area that delivers log length tri axle loads? I am in Chateaugay, NY right on the canadian border.

Hey I live near Binghamton and I got a load of logs from a company doing some clearing work for the State. Paid 800$ when a load usually costs 1000$ because he couldn't get the right amount of weight to sell it. I was just driving down a back road near our house, came to a crossroad and saw a logging truck go driving by, I tailed him till I could safely flag him down and asked him where he was getting it, found out who to call and they delivered it the next day. If I were you I would just look in the phone book for logging companies or foresting companies, this particualr company was out of Syracuse but they were selling the wood to a guy closer the Binghamton and he was the one who sold it to us. Anyhow hope that helps.

Just bought a triax of 8 cords for $600, all hardwoods and actually pretty dry, not burning this season but it will def be good for next year

Mike Layn, Hazelton in Jay, Tim Napper Logging, Dean LaVarnway and Scott Lavarnway logging, Venne logging in Ellenburg, NY, There's also a french guy, I only know him as Frenchie, on the plank rd between chazy lake and ellenburg. He has a big lot there always full of wood he sells... Hope this helps dude...

eh?

High?

$100.00 a cord in log lengths, Green, and locally delivered.

Dude, he's talking a full cord. I get $225 a cord here for wood and can't keep up with the amount I'm selling. That $100 is really like 3 of what I'm assuming you think is a cord... $30 a face cord is cheaper than you'll ever see it. Hell, I'd buy that from him and resell the same cord for $225. That's a good little profit, hehehehehehe...

 eh?

Kinda doubt that because you'd be hard pressed too get 11-12 cord on the truck first off. 8 cord is the norm and thats stacking it well with no crooks. Do you know what species the wood is? It's late in the season and $100-$120 a cord tree length is the going rate for most all of Upstate and New England. That's for good hardwood. Good Luck.

Some people think when they buy, they don't know that for log length you buy by the full cord, i.e. 3 face cords. If you'd deliver to plattsburgh I would take 2 full cords btw...

Those days are long gone the going rate in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Washington county's is $100 - $120 for a cord 8'/16' a tri axle can only legally carry 7-8 cord a semi load will carry 10 - 11 cord of HARDWOOD. The load you mentioned is probably from a land clearing job and has everything and anything mixed into it not to mention being loaded with sand/ dirt from the Dozers. Good luck finding a REAL LOGGING COMPANY to deliver hardwood for less than $100 per cord.... Cause Pruyn is paying more than any of the prices listed above for pulp $125 - $150 a cord depending on volume.
