Truck Upgrade

I currently own an 01 F-350 crew cab long bed w/ the 7.3 and want to upgrade to either a f-450 or 550 crew w/ a dump bed. It will be hauling a chipper or a dump trailer with a miniskidsteer in it. What have you guys found out as far as trading in the old for new, or selling it yourself and taking in cash to buy the new, and who have you dealt with that you would recommend?

You will always fair better outright selling than trading in.Unless you owe on it and want to add the existing loan to the new truck.Of course fuel being what it is the value of larger trucks around here in the pickup class have gone way down.
