Anyone here have experience with Turner bandsaw mills? How would they compare against the Timberking 1220 or LT15 Woodmizer? I'm looking at the Turner ground model with the 24hp Honda. I would also throw Mr.Sawmill's model 26 in the mix as well. All opinions welcomed.

Don't know much about the Turner mill but I did do some comparison with the Woodmizer and the Timberking mill. I ended up buying a Timberking 1400 over the LT15. The 1400 comes with basic hydraulics (blade height adjustment and variable speed feed/head travel), 20' log length and is road ready with standard trailer package. The Woodmizer dealer is located about 30 miles from my house but I still purchased the Timberking which was located 950 miles from me and cost me $700 in shipping charges. To me, it's just a better mill. My son and myself have been using this mill for almost 3 years now with very little trouble. Good solid construction with 6 leveling jacks. 4 post head verses cantilever.

i have a turner mill with a 20 hp honda and i love the simplicity of how its constructed and works.with all parts available locally.mine has the trailer package but is all manual.honestly the only issue ive had was the blade guide rollers but in the beginning i think it was my fault and now that i have them figures out its all good.also the tech support is very good being that you talk rite to the owner...all in all for the money it is a very rugged, dependable, simple machine and can really produce really nice lumber

I also have had a 13 hp Turner Mill for about 12 years. As was mentioned they are simple mills that do quality work. It has been a solid dependable mill for me with many 1000's of bd ft of lumber sawn. I mostly use mine to saw oak and pine that has died or blown down. Great for salvage or cutting custom sizes.
