A few weeks ago I was approached to carve a turtle sitting stump for a Native American woman who had recently lost her father.
Being part of the "Turtle Clan" she sent me pic of the idea she wanted and a little history note to go along with it. The sitting stump would be placed at her dads grave where visitors could take a load off while they were there.
I've always been a huge fan of Native American art, so naturally I was a bit intimidated to accept this challenge, but decided to give it a shot anyhow.
Long story short here.... she was ecstatic with the way it turned out, which gave me a great boost of confidence, and a greater sense of accomplishment!
