Looking for a solid Stihl 026 that runs out well, but really don't care about the cosmetics. Gonna be used as the go-to small saw on the skid trail and landing for small felling/bucking/firewood/plus any around the house needs. Any task that's small enough for me to not want to mess with the 044.

Pro or non, not too picky there. The adjustable oiler would be great, but I'm not gonna get hung on that. Plan on using 16" bar strictly. Got enough power in other saws for bigger bars.

Only things I'm really looking for in particular is the fully adjustable Walbro 194 carb and good compression (160+) and to be a solid runner, of course

PHO is just fine and will help with shipping costs as well.

I'm really in no hurry at all, and am on a fixed budget with this. I'd like to stay under $200 shipped for PHO.

I had a oe 346xp a couple years back and man, I shoulda never sold that saw…don't know what I was thinking at the time. Oh yeah, was trying to help out a friend in need of a good saw and wasn't really using it at the time. Always thought if the time came again when I wanted another 45-50 cc saw, then I'd look for a solid 026 to compare. Now I'm logging/processing firewood on a regular basis and could appreciate some of that lightweight, laser saw action.

Thanks!

They are sweet saws , let me tell ya. I just rebuilt mine. It has a new pro Nikasil jug on it with decompression valve: I'm planning on making mine perfectly cosmetically though. Just wanted to say you can't go wrong with one of these.

Just thought I'd update this thread. I just received what looks to be a great example of what I was looking for from a fellow forum member. Haven't cranked/run the saw yet, but can't wait to get it tuned up and sawing in a couple of days. Just unpacked it tonight and slapped a new 16" b/c on.

Non-pro with upgraded adjustable oiler, Walbro 194 carb, 150+ psi comp, and it looks pretty decent to boot! Also within my initial budget, which is great.

Thanks again Waylan! It's been a pleasure doing business with you.

Glad you are pleased. Hope it will be a great runner for you. I bought that one new in 1994 or 1995.

Waylan
