I might consider a pressure washer if /when I run into this.I milled this 55inch(at the widest point) Maple burl last winter and I wish I had passed. It was full of dirt. It was beautiful, but way to much work. I only took a few pics because it was snowing pretty bad. That picture doesn't do any justice to the size of the log. It was big.

Betterbuilt, I thought of that after I posted. I remember this 3' burl I worked off a Maple. Grit in the inclusions near impossible to clear. Needless to say dulled two chains. Slabbing that must have been a bear! The ladder in the pic looks like part of a toy fire engine in reference to that monster. That grain is wild. Are you going to finish slabbing it one day?
Cool. I still haven't tackled the "Whale's Head" but might over the holidays.
