Location
In the Redwoods.
There was a 5.7 earthquake, centered in Greenville, California, just a while ago. We're about 95 air miles from there and it rattled all the dishes and nicknacks on the shelves.

Might be a good time to start watching Mt. Lassen for volcanic activity again.

I used to live out there. The old saying was 'California's going to fall off in the ocean'.

Isn't Lassen in the state of Jefferson? Or is Shasta the boundary?

I know of a geologist living in Jefferson who says he controls his volcanoes. Perhaps he is out of state?
I keep the huckleberries on the floor or bottom shelf. It is my way of being prepared--oooh, I'm a prepper, I guess.:msp_wink:

you sure earthquake that wasn't Randymac dropping a big redwood down the street ?

Got the Casita ready to go? Looks like quake after quake after quake....a big cluster at the east end of Lake Almanor. Strange? Or usual?

Dunno. But you can bet that everybody is paying attention. Me included. The temblor that we felt here, the Greenville quake, was one of those long rolling ones that seem to last forever.

Well, that didn't work quite as intended. Perhaps the try below will take one to the proper area page...
