does anyone know what, if any qualifications or accreditations or suchlike would be needed if one was to start independent climber training. not nptc assessing, purely instruction on latest techniques etc.

just a quess but i would imagine no insurance co would cover you unless you had nptc instuctor level training at least

Steve,I agree with Blue,Either NPTC or Lantra instructor qualification would be required

now i know for a fact fujikura used to do in-house [not nptc or lantra] rigging courses.Eastwood sent some guy's there

You could speak to Nick Obern. Used to do all Gristwood & Toms in house training and is now lecturing at Capel Manor. I know him and will contact him 2morrow to see if it is all right to give you his number.
