hey folks, never posted over here but i figure you folks the fellers to ask. I'm looking for a kiln in the western NY area. We are preparing to do an addition on the house and i'd like to trybuilding with DRY post-n-beam, trim, railings, spindles, etc. If you own a kiln in the finger lakes or southern tier region, i'd appreaciate a heads up.

Built the main portion 4 years ago with Oak I logged off our land and to be honest it was still rather green when it went up, heavy too. I've got the logs down and stickered but there is no way they'll dry enough naturally before we plan to build.

I appreciate your knowledge in this matter. I'm in Steuben County so Northern PA isn't that far if you know of a kiln in the PA region.

Southern Tier Forest Products, Inc.

Try these guys, I know they sell a lot of kiln dried firewood so they have a big operation.
Google "bundle of warmth" and their site will come up.

Turned out to be a dead-end..............anybody else out there have any suggestions?

Not sure if they would even take your logs to custom kiln dry and mill BUT:

Gutchess Lumber in Cortland, New York. They have a kiln

The new owners of the Old Cotton Hanlon lumber mill in Cayuta, New York also have a kiln.

Double Aught Lumber in Owego. New York I am unsure if they have kiln at their other mill site
