I'm on vacation this week. I thought that I would share some of my vacation photos with you. I took this week off to clean the yard up, get the garden tilled and get a few projects taken care of. We have a green yard waste only type dump here near the small town I live in. Twice a year they will push everything up into a big pile and burn it. I hauled a load of tree limbs up to the dump and found some large locust trees that someone had just dumped off a few days earlier. Needless to say as soon as the weather was good (we did get snowed on as we were cutting) I was back at the dump loading up the windfall. I'm not the only local here that gleans from the town dump so I didn't want to miss out on this one. My son and I split it into small enough chunks to load and will split it into stove size pieces as soon as it dries out. Some of the big rounds were so green that water was oozing out of them when I tried to split them with a wedge and maul. I cut those into quarters with the 395XP just so we could get them on the truck. The whole project took 3 hours from the time we left the house until we got home.

Nice haul!

Those are some gnarly pieces of wood. I imagine those chunks will burn nice and burn long once they are dried out.

Nice load of wood! Gotta love them 395's!;) I just put a 28" on mine to get some better use out of her:cheers:
