Vermeer 1230A Oil/Water Light

We have a 1230A and it hadn't been used since Sept. We went to start it this past weekend and the Oil/Water light has stayed on. Runs fine started right up. The sending units appear to be fine, close/open them and the motor shuts down, it's got a Perkins motor. Just need to know where else I could begin checking. Thanks

I would make sure the gauges are working properly. We had a similar problem with a light coming on and it was a bad temp gauge.

There's loads of vibration in that panel. I was thinking there could be a problem there, I just went ahead and ordered a new gauge/light and temp sending unit. They should be here in a day or two. It was only like 50 bucks which is way cheaper than a service call or me haulin it somewhere. Would be great if that's all there is to it.

We ended up replacing the gauge/light and the alternator, no more issues, got away pretty cheap this time.
