I am hoping to add autofeed to my 1988 BC1250 with Ford 6cyl gas. I saw the sensor from radioremote.com and was looking for a valve/solenoid combo. I was trying to avoid Vermeer's as I feel like they just tack extra cost onto a valve they bought from someone else. I'm looking for a simple single-function (no reverse) valve. Anyone else out there try this? Or are any of you fellow 1250 or 1230 owners out there who already have Autofeed willing to pass along the make/model and specs of the valve/solenoid unit on your machine?
The service manual says this hydro system runs at 8.5 gpm max and a 3000psi limit. Any of you hydraulic buffs out there know how to convert that roughly into Cv (apparently the specification of choice with valve manufacturers)? Any other tips or information is, of course, welcome and appreciated.
Answer from the semi-local dealer: "Oh, you don't want to do that. Costs too much." (real helpful )
Thanks guys,
