Vermeer 1600A leaf spring

I am looking for a leaf spring for a Vermeer 1600A chipper, or any informaiton on how I may locate one (or a set). Trying to stay away from Vermeer's outragous parts prices.

Find out who manufactures the axle and go to them or a dealer that sells those axles. Might be alot cheaper than vermeer.

Go to any welding shop that makes trailers. They will probably have the parts or able to get them for you. Most of vermeer's axles are pretty standard.

look in the phone book under " SPRINGS " im sure you'll find a shop that could hook you up.. jmho
