Hello all! I recently bought a 1999 Vermeer 630B stump grinder that was in pieces. It came with a Wisconsin VE4 that I bolted right up to it once I got it going. Tried to grind out a 30” Red Oak stump and it wasn’t having it. Does not have near enough power. I know that it’s not the original engine meant for the machine but it’s what I got with it and I bought it cheap enough to put some work into it. That being said. Has anyone ever used the Duromax 35hp engines on any equipment? Judging from pictures and specs it will bolt on the machine I have fairly easily and with little to no modification. Or are the Duromax engines Chinese junk that won’t hold up? It does come with a 3 year warranty but is that even any good? I know how warranties can sound good and be useless. Thanks I’m advance for the info.
