hello, i saw a 1999 vermeer 935 with a perkins diesel in the paper, i reckon im gonna take a look at it this weekend. it has 1200 hours on the machine. the guy wants 9,500 for it, just wondering if this seems like a good deal and was wondering what is considered alot of hours on a chipper. also wondering how many hours a chipper usually runs before it starts having alot of wear and needs major work. thanks alot, kennertree.

That isn't a lot of hours but it isn't "new either. The price sounds a little high to me.

99's sell for 5,500 to 7,500 all day long. It's the rental-yard tool of choice. Either the Kubota or Perkin's, just do a Ebay search.

I think the price is a little high on that chipper. The 935 with the perkins is a good chipper and will work all day long but you probably want to find out what kind of hours are on it, ie. rental, etc.

pretty high priced, tell the guy 6k tops. thats only if it looks like it was taken care of.
