vermeer problems /issues?

our bc 1400 rattles itself apart. i am wondering if anyone else has come across this problem. constant electrical issues and housings cracking. just recently did drum bearings and still tons of vibrations. as well the machine has been shutting down while chipping do to shorts from wires rubbing. if anyone has had similar history with vermeer i am curious to hear the stories. i fix all my equipment in house and have no time to waste by giving it to another shop so they can take their sweet time. thanks

Just curious, do you deal through Hopkington? I've always had great workmanship there and very quick turn around.

As far as the rattling, I've heard that about the 1400s and never wanted to go that route. For now, I have no regrets with my 1000xl. Might go to a 1200 next though. Still waiting to here of experiences though.

Yes I've had good luck with parts but I lose patience with service . I won't trash talk, I just like fixing things myself but with no wiring diagram and manuals that say to send it out I don't get anywhere In four years I have made great improvements to this chipper and I stand by it. I wish there was no literature about it
