Went to Vermeer Canada's Arborist open house today held in Oakville (Bronte Creek Prov. Park) today.

The topic was aerial rescue (provided by Aboriculture Trainer John Ransom).

Sherrill Arborist Supplies was there selling gear. (Ropes and saddles were on sale). -Bought 150' of 5/8 stable braid plus other stuff.:dizzy:

Great course, weather was beautiful and met a lot of nice people.

Looking forward to next year's.

I went as well with my brothers and Dad. Second year we have gone. John is amazing instructor. Both years I have taken some GREAT info away from these events. It is great of Vermeer to put it on.

As with last year had to buy some fancy new gear. This year's big purchase was the Buckingham Ergovation climbing saddle. After I bought it I noticed that it was the same one John uses. He said he really likes it. I am looking forward to using it on Monday.

Aerial rescue (including with the bucket) was great especially since our new bucket truck should be here in 2 weeks. Hopefully I don't need it though. :)
