I have an old blue homelite chainsaw. its a super xl serial number 2357322. Can someon give me information about this saw? how many cc is it? hp? year made, etc...

Is this saw decent? I got it for free. It was used by the previous owner of my dads house. They used it to cut down christmas trees (the land used to be a tree farm). I just bought a set of bucking spikes for it.

Hi there Cahickam!

These are excellent saws!

Is the one you got a runner? Hows the paint, the "old blue" XL is one of my favorite saws.

Hey Ray, Didnt they also make them in the Red/Green/White colors?

Yes its a runner. My dad told me to take it home one day. When i got home I was messin around with it to see if it would run. He never touched the thing. I turned the choke on pumped the gas a few times and the first pull it started. God knows how old the gas was. I think it runs great. I ordered a set of spikes for it because its kinda hard cutting big logs with no bite. The paint on it is pretty good. the only spot where it is really worn is the handles, but thats common. The only thing it really need is a new air filter. Maybe a bar to but i dont know what to get for it. The bar on it now is the original without a sproket. I have a couple other saws but i like this old thing.
