WAA Member,

Attached is an announcement about an upcoming visit by Dr. Bonnie
Appleton, professor at Virginia Tech. She is coming next week and
will be speaking to the Dept. of Horticulture about her woody
ornamental research. This visit is part of the Distinguished Women in

Plant Biology Seminar Series of invited speakers. Several of us in
the department wrote a grant to bring in five speakers and Bonnie is
one of the speakers whose topic addresses the Green Industry. I have
asked the department if we could open up the event and invite the
Green Industry. The seminar is on Tuesday, Apr. 22 (next week) at
3:30 p.m. with an opportunity afterward to meet with Bonnie from
4:30-6:00. The event will be in Rm 108 Plant Sciences (Horticulture
Bldg.) on the campus of UW-Madison.
