I have generally avoided voting in polls on AS, mostly because I think the polls are pretty limited in their voting selections, and don't match my views. I did give up and recently posted my vote in a recent hard hat poll and discovered something new. [Dan, I only voted 'cause you did]:

By viewing the results of the poll, you can see the names of those members with whom your views are most aligned. Mostly, my opinion matched up with others on-line that I would have suspected, but there were a few surprises.

Since I have been a regular here at ArboristSite for a little while, and had never used this feature, I thought it might be a good idea to let some others in on the non-secret.

Thanks. Now the one lacking item here is what the person actually does most for their job function/role. Some of us pretty much do everything, others may be primarily ground men, or primarily climbers.. or maybe the boss who mostly speaks with customers, finds more work, organizes things, etc.. This would have an impact on what you wear, or at least wear most frequently, and may alter the results a bit. (at least in the last poll - now this may have minimal impact in some polls of course)

Yes, that would be nice to know about everyone. But that is available to be posted in everyone's profile; a quick review of a few peoples profile here as AS reveals that most folks like to keep their true identity somewhat to themselves.

No relief in sight, eh?
