:hmm3grin2orange: Just came home with a few more project saws. Could not be happier. Other than travel time being about double the estimate the trip was great. Picked up:
Mac 250 runs
2@1-41 Macs
Poulan 4000
2@D-44 Sears
2@Mono's
Lombard 650
Poulon ?
Bucket of new chain loops. Chisel and semi-chisel.
Having a great day. I would post pictures but I do not own a camera yet.
Always spend all my money on saws.:monkey: Going to go out to the barn and start on the Sears, did not have one of those yet. Everybody here is asleep needed to share the joy. Thanks for reading. Also feel free to recommend a digital camera, I would like to post a few pictures eventually.

What are the models of Mono saws that you picked up? I picked this one up the other day that says its a 720 on the stamp, but I can't find any info on it anywhere. The closest thing I can find is the model 7 on the chainsaw collectors corner site. It is a mac daddy of a saw though. Has the AH-81 131 cc engine. Other than the dent on the tank and the weld repair, its not in too bad of shape. No spark but I'm workin that next. On the camera thing I bought a little $50 Walmart job and it's still workin good 2 years running. I'd like to see those saws if you do get some pics to post. Happy Hunting!:greenchainsaw:

You should be able to find very decent digital cameras these days.

Two easy tips:
1. Make sure the memory is upgradable. More memory = take more pictures.

2. The more Megapixels the camera has, the better the pictures you can take. 3 Megapixels should not be a stretch at all.

Nice saws. Email me if you want to get rid of your poulan 4000

Camera? I can recomend a fuji FinePix. I bought mine 5 or 6 years ago, it's pretty ancient by today's standards and only 1.3 megapixels but... It has been submerged in water, droped from several roofs, droped on rocks, covered in grease, beat around on the floor of the truck, smashed by falling objects, etc. It's chipped and scratched, I've even worn the paint off of areas but it still works perfectly and takes perfect pictures. The fuji cameras are also real affordable.

Best place to research digital cameras: Steve's Digicams.

Memory is good. More memory is better. Don't get too hung up on memory TYPE - there are a half dozen competing technolgies. Choose the camera, not the memory.

Megapixels are good. More megapixels are better. 3 megapixels is just about entry level these days.

Zoom is ESSENTIAL. Don't get a camera that does not have at least 3X OPTICAL zoom. Digital zoom is useless - actually worse than useless. Don't pay more for digital zoom. All of the hobbyist cameras have it, so you can't get away from it unless you go high end. Don't sweat it, just ignore it.

Rechargeable batteries are also essential. If it won't take rechargeables, don't buy it, no matter how good a deal it seems to be.

Probably the MOST overlooked characteristic of digital cameras is SPEED. How fast can you take follow up pictures? How well will it take pics of moving objects? (Like an active toddler, or a bird, or a falling tree....)

A slow camera will drive you straight up a wall.

As I have not got a Poulan 4000 in the collection I will probably keep it. Thanks for the offer. Also thanks for the camera info.

Thank you to all who offered camera advice feel free to keep it coming. I am slow to take on new to me technology but eventually I will.
