Does anyone have rebuild instructions for the HDC series? I've rebuilt WS's with 100% sucess but haven't had any luck with the HDCs.

Thanks

I've done a few of them, older Homelite saw??? Is the metering lever in it's own little cavity or well so to speak. If this is the adjustment your looking for the lever is set to the top of the little well, not the main body of the carb.

Ya, I,ve got a bunch of XL2s and Super XL2s. The metering adjustment is what I was looking for.

Hey Ax,

I think your thinking of the bigger Homies. The HDCs have a disc shaped plate with a tiny rod built in on one side that the metering lever toggles on. The point where the metering diaphram contacts the lever is over a solid part of the disc. I'm thinking the lever should be flush with the body looking from the side across the carb, but I'm not sure. I'm going to try different settings and maybe get it right. Love to find someone with the adjustment proceedure like the one for the WS series you can find on this site.

The lever height is even with the mounting surface of the cover, not with the flloor of the well the lever sits in. I have a manual in PDF I can email you if you send me your address, about 6Mb size. Use the private message function if you want. They show a special gage to set the height but for the HDC it is just a straight edge across the cover mounting surface.

I might have gotten the HDC mixed up with the SDC, not sure, it has been awhile since I have worked either one those carbs. Sorry.
