Like a dummy, I didn’t pay attention to which way the hole in the cover was oriented when I took it apart. I looked for some pics online and saw a variety of directions. Does it matter? Right now I have it on the fuel inlet side.
Thanks!
Chris

I would put the hole at the lowest point when the saw is horizontal. This will help keep saw dust out of there.

Doesn't matter, in fact I always drill another hole right in the middle so I can push a toothpick down and tap the diaphragm to see if it operates properly when I'm doing a pressure test on the carb.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the help! I put it all back together and got it to start and run good but then it quit all of a sudden. I didn't have the bar/chain on at the time. Should I have those on when running it? I didn't figure it would matter if they were on.
