Want to know info on logging

I was wondering how the pay was and how the job is logging if you go to college for 4 years in forestry. Any info would help, thanks. huskykid141

don't know any dollar figures for ri, but i've seen double for a 2 year degree forester over a logger working for someone else around here. like they say, get a summer job loggin' and get that education. you'll be gettin' double the education with the experience, and know what's goin' on in the woods. wish i'd done it when i was younger.

college don't mean sh*t if your a logger!!! your work determines pay... if you are gonna be a forester or something it would be different

College will open doors for you later in life. It will help you to have the experience you get logging. If all you ever want to do is log, college probably wont be much use.

IMO, get the education. you wont regret it later.
