Warm weather no snow what do you do?

Cut and stack wood of course..20x16x8 area of my barn. It's full and I'm now stacking outside. About 20 cords

I started with it 8 foot wide but knew I had way to much wood . Put more pallets down and went to town

I really need to get started... I'll be near out of firewood at the end of this season.

I'm way ahead . There is still 7 cord in my basement. Used maybe 2 so far this year. Average about 6-7 a year.

I have started on my 16 17 wood. Yes I know I am behind. But I started late. I hope to get all my 18 19 wood by end of summer

Likely, yes... but the question is when.

Just keep splitting and stacking. If you have to sell some to make more room, that's okay.

Yep make hay when the sun shines. If you get another winter like last year you will be happy to have gotten ahead.

Well I have been busy this fall. Barn has been refilled and this is going to be stacked and covered outside . Mostly oak some maple and black locust. Still have 4 or 5 cords in 12 ft length

I took the above picks on November 19 it was 65° this is the next morning .

I got blindsided by a 6 cord order I didn' expect, he'll be back next year also. That means I need about 13-15 cord to cover my use and orders, I am about 1 cord short in stacked "rounds", have 9 cord split/stacked, about 6 cord in rounds to go. Quit cutting lastd monday as we finally got snow. My 2x pickup does not "do" snow in the bottoms where I cut. temp justsd above below freezing today. So why am I not out there swinging away? Because I am here on Arborist of course
