I just got a call from my sister, she's a medical lab technologist for Keiser Permanente in California (Baldwin PLace) . A Physician form the urology department was shot at the hospital. My sister and her staff are locked in the lab with a S.W.A.T. team providing lab services for the emergency room in an effort to save the victim. Keep your fingers crossed for a good outcome

The guy that did the shooting is probably subdoed by now, or has shot himself. Your sister has nothing to worry about.

hey Sedanman, I hope everything worked out all right! Life has gotton to scarry. My daughter was in lock down at her elementary school yesterday day because a father from a nasty devorce said he was comming to school to collect his kids. he didn't have custady but was taking them anyway he could!! They described him as 6:6 350lb with 17 inch shoes. Not my Idea of somebody to have to stop! Everything worked out hear so I hope the same for you and your sister! The Hoosier

Sedanman, I hope your sister (and everyone else) makes out ok. Things like this don't seem like that big of a deal until you (or someone you know) is involved.
About a month ago someone robbed the Credit Union at the Xerox complex that I work at. The suspect shot 2 innocent customers...1 died. We were in a lock down mode for about 10 hours....they thought the suspect was still at the complex. They still haven't made an arrest yet!!!!
Again, I hope your sister makes out ok....keep us updated.

"Suspect" still at large, has been identified but not aprehended. Sister is on her way home. Injured doctor is alive but no other info on his condition was available. Thanks for good thoughts and kind words.

Doc was shot in the neck and lower chest, is expected to fully recover with no long term effects. He took over 60 units of blood. It's hard to shoot someone in the neck and miss the spine or an artery, luckily he was already in the hospital or he surely would have bled out.

Sounds like he did, about six times. Glad that your sister made it through safely.

Uodate; The "suspect" took his own life. He was ticked off that the dodctor would not give him an injecton that he wanted and the doctor knew wouln't help. The day after the shooting the man used the gun on himself.
