wc-12 help please

Hi I just bought an old wc 12 and am hoping you guys can help me out, I need to change out the knives but can't seem to get them loose I have been around all the square head bolts on the drum that I assume hold the press plates that hold the knives but none of them will move is there a trick to it or do I need to get the torch out. I don't have a book on it so any help would be greatly appreciated thanks, muddy

Get a BFH

Take all of the bolts out. On the plate that is holding the blades there is a threaded hole between two of the ones you just took the bolts out of. Thread that bolt into the odd hole and keep going until the plate/wedge pops! Do you have a manual for that chipper?? If not, send me your email and I will get you one. Make sure you have the blades set up right before going too far so you are safe. I used mine all day today and it worked great. These machines are pretty amazing, but be careful!
