2 years in a roll i can't get any work done from jan thur march, well not very many, i have jobs, its rain or snow or high winds , im sick of it, i have jobs that they only want cut in his time frame, now they have to wait another year. my ? is after that long of time do you on the bigger jobs , have to give them a new estimate, and with gas prices, its going to cost more to do the job . i thank most people would under stand, i have one guy told me to do a new estimate . what is your thought's ?

If it's been a year, give them a new estimate. Unless you're doing charity work your estimate has to reflect your cost of doing business. If not, it's easier to sit at home and lose money. I think most people will understand. If they don't, well then they don't. Last summer I had a lady call with an estimate that I gave in 2007 and wonder if I'd still honor it. I told her I'd be happy to give her another estimate. She said yes but was always busy when I called so after a few tries I quit calling.
Best of luck to you,
Phil

I was thinking about this the other day. People around here give "winter rate discounts" to keep busy. I won't give a furcking penny discount next year during winter... It takes twice as long to get jobs done in the snow and ice, and is 10 times less enjoyable LOL... Guess I wont be too busy next winter then ha ha....
