hello everyone,

im wondering if any of you use felling wedges when you're taking down a stump in sections? or is this not commonly done?

to those that do, any dos or dont's? and what tool do you use to bash the wedges in? i mean do you carry a hammer/mallet up there, axe, or what?

just to confirm im talking about using wedges while off the ground, tied in to a standing stump.

Thanks in advance

Same here, groundie sends them up after the tree is delimbed. Holes and strings keep hammer and wedge on my belt. Works great.

Cheers,

Giel
