wedgle on spruce

i was wondering about this system to use on spruce to combat aphids, i have one property with about 50+ spruce on it that are plagued by aphids . doe any have any first hand info . I see that was some small dialog earlier.

What size are the spruce trees? (Height/DBH)

Are you talking about aphids, or spruce gall adelgid?

2 different pests, different control strategies depending on the pest.

You might check the label on Merit and do a basal application.
This wont harm bark and is safer and easier than trying to wedgle material in.

If you spray, dormant oil and orthene works real well also.
